What a better way to break the monotony of the 9 to 5 schedule of weekdays than to do something completely different on the weekend. My dad needed some help with a tree, that had been fallen by a previous storm. So we headed east to Hamina right after breakfast. There we packed the car with the some nice orange stuff and headed to the forest.
The roads were in pretty decent condition, but sometimes covered in sheer ice with water on top. Some parts were a bit flooded so we had to scout them before going through.
The sound and smell of a chainsaw is always pleasant. And it usually means business. Cutting the two trees was a breeze and the only really physical part was carrying it all about 50 meters to the road. We should get a medal for the fashion though.
We were not the only one that had a quick snack in the forest. An owl had lost the battle of survival.
