I had only a couple of days left of my summer holiday so it was time to get out and enjoy ja waters at Repovesi. Jakke was able to join me, so we packed the gear and hit the road. We got to the launch site at dusk and soon we were off paddling on the silent lake. We both caught some perch, but they were too small to eat so they were let back to grow.
After setting up camp it was time to stare into the fire and have a few beers. For dinner we made bacon covered grilled cheese sandwiches. The concept is great, but a bit too salty and heavy for my taste.

When paddling you can haul some luxury items such as a camp chair and plenty of Sriracha sauce. Put it on everything, like your breakfast omelette.
We camped on a small island with spots for two tents.
We carried the boats over Kuutinkanava and went to explore Tervajärvi. It is a nice small lake with no traffic, except for one dude on a canoe who was studying birds.
Using the versatile Skrama-knife the fire was going in no time and warm sandwiches were consumed.
We spent the rest of the day exploring new places and fishing, catching a total of one small perch.
After the portage back to Kuutinlahti we paddled to camp and set out camp chairs in the prime spot for some evening sun. It was nice to actually have time to lounge around and do nothing, except for some serious eating.
Excellent and relaxing trip with surprisingly good weather, which has not been the default norm in Finland this summer.
